Brie Larson battles in space in the new Captain Marvel trailer

The second trailer of 2019’s Captain Marvel has been shared by Marvel Studios. It stars Brie Larson in the title role as Carol Danvers alongside Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson.

Judging by the trailer, it is expected that Larson’s character will stay true to her comic-book roots. Danvers is an ace military pilot who gets caught up in an intergalactic battle between two species, resulting in her being gifted with extraordinary super-powers. There’s also a flashback that shows how Carol Danvers became Captain Marvel. Nick Fury appearing without his eye-patch was a tad bit shocking.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel will hit the screens in March next year.
