Menaka Gandhi says no challenge of Jallikattu Ordinance in Supreme Court

The Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Menaka Gandhi has been an animal rights activist for several years and is one of the strongest voices against cruelty to animals in the country. There are rumors that the People for Animals in which Menaka is the Chairman has challenged the TN government's ordinance allowing jallikattu.

Menaka Gandhi has released an official press note denying the news and has assured that she or her organization are not challenging the TN ordinance.
