On a day when Chandrababu Naidu announced Black Day as a mark of protest against the Centre's refusal to confer special status on Andhra Pradesh, Manchu Manoj took to Twitter to hold a metaphysical warning against Narendra Modi. He wrote that the Prime Minister will invite the anger of Venkateswara Swamy for reneging on the special status promise.
PM, We stood with you in your fight, supported you when you needed us, waited for you to fulfil your promise. Neither gratitude nor Special Status came from you. It‘s time you respect our just demand and grant #APSpecialStatus to our great AP or face the wrath of Lord Balaji in whose abode you promised! (sic), the Manchu hero said.
When a follower asked Manoj to be careful about cursing a karma yogi like Modi, the actor said that AP needs money to celebrate the next bhogi (Sankranthi).
