Hardeep Singh(36), a Mumbai guy had planned to visit Manchester as he had his tourist Visa and had plans to stay and roam around the places in and around Manchester. In January, he had set out to Manchester from Mumbai on a flight , and next to him, a 20 year old girl was seated.

The girl was traveling with her mother, and Hardeep started talking to the girl and the girl started feeling uncomfortable to sit near him, and was giving formal replies to his questions. The girl put on her earphones and started watching a movie, but again Hardeep talked to her, making her unable to watch the movie.

As everyone in the flight started sleeping, Hardeep too was tired and the girl had started to sleep, when Hardeep suddenly kissed the girl much to her shock. The girl screamed louder and pressed the alarm nearby, and the information was conveyed to Manchester police, who arrested Hardeep immediately after landing, and he was charged under sexual harassment. While he initially refused to accept his crime, he later confessed, and has been sentenced to 1 year imprisonment.
