Here is very pretty good news from the super hit Kannada film 'Mungaru Male' that has just completed 50 days screening wherever it was released. Producer E.Krishnappa has succeeded in his seventh business too. 'Mungaru Male' has gobbled at least 10 Kannada film collections ever since its release on 29th December 2006. Films like Kallarali Hoovagi, Sixer, Police Story 2 and Arasu could withstand the onslaught of unprecedented success of 'MM'. The other Kannada films released after 'MM' faced a crashing defeat are Hosa Varsha, Thayiya Madilu, Naayi Neralu, Yee Rajiv Gandhi Alla, Sneha Parva, Vidyarthi, SMS 6260, Poojary and Bhoopathy.

Kannada filmdom that was buying lot of remake rights from other languages has now given a beautifully made film 'Mungaru Male' for other languages. The last remake film that made big news was 'Jogi' Kannada film that made a business of Rs.20 crores in Karnataka. 'Mungaru Male' is not far away now. It is running 38 shows a day in Bangalore alone to packed houses. In the remaining parts of Karnataka 'Mungaru Male' is shown 104 times a day ever since the release of the film on 29 th December 2006.

Mr Suryaprakash Rao of SP Entertainers India Private Limited, Hyderabad acquired the remake rights of 'Mungaru Male' Kannada film paying Rs.45 lakhs (Rs.28.5 lakhs for Telugu and 16.5 lakhs for Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam languages). The reason for sale of remake rights for Rs.28.5 lakhs is because this was finalized on the verge of 'MM' completing 50 days all over Karnataka state. For other languages the booking was made after two days of the film release.

What is interesting factor now is that the other distributors are asking for 'MM' remake rights from Suryaprakash Rao for Rs.1.5 crore. This is surprising for Raogaru for just clinching the deal. He should thank his fortunes.

In the first round of tentative discussion the Telugu version would be directed by veteran of over 100 films direction Raghavendra Rao. Director of Kannada films Dayal is heading the megaphone for Tamil version while Fazil or Shafi intends to take up Malayalam version. Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is to view this Kannada version of 'MM' for Hindi version remake.
