Expectations

Tiger Shroff managed to make his mark with 'Heropanti' and 'Baaghi'. Audience, especially kids love him dancing and fighting on screen.

Sadly, 'Flying Jat' failed to entertain his loyal audience thus he teams back with his lucky mascot director Sabbir Khan for the movie 'Munna Michael'. The trailer looks promising and has some chart buster songs attached to it due to which the expectations are decent.

Story

'Munna Michael' is a story of an orphan Munna Michael (Tiger Shroff), who is raised by a background dancer Michael (Ronit Roy). Michael does not want Munna to end up into a profession related to dancing, but Munna's is totally inclined towards dance and is a huge fan of Michael Jackson.

Munna shifts his base to New Delhi, where he meets a local don Mahinder Fauji (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). Mahinder want to learn all dancing steps and thus appoints Munna as his personal trainer. After learning dance steps, Mahinder wants to impress and express his love for a local dancer Dolly (Nidhhi Agerwal). Life takes a drastic change as Dolly starts loving Munna.

The 'Glitz' Factor

What makes 'Munna Michael' interesting is the element of dance attached to it, especially in the case of Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The moment he comes up on the screen you start enjoying the movie. Take him out and there’s hardly anything to cherish.

There are many enjoyable scenes in the start of the film related to Nawazuddin's comical track and Tiger's fights and dances.

The music has some good tracks such as 'Main Hoon', 'Ding Dang' and 'Swag'. 'Pyar Ho' has been shot in beautiful locations.

Tiger Shroff is fantastic when it comes to fighting and dance. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the only saving grace in this film. His comic timing and funny dance moves keeps you entertained in the film.

The 'Non-Glitz' Factor

The plot has been in our film industry right since the 60’s era and is totally stale and uninteresting. The movie starts getting diluted with the arrival of Niddhi in the film. Her track, character, appearance, performance and dance fails to go with the flow of the film.

The middle portions of the film are totally dragging and boring at times. The second half is horrible andall you are forced to watch is bad dancing of Nidhhi and terrible dramatic expressions of Tiger.

The writers fail to do justice to any of the characters in the second half and do not utilize the potential of Tiger as a dancer and Nawazuddin as an actor. There is no proper tribute to Michael Jackson at all in this film. The cinematography is not up to the mark.

Director Sabbir Khan's debut film 'Kambakkht Ishq' was a horrible film and 'Munna Michael' ends up in the same list due to its stale subject, weak presentation and terrible performances. As an actor there is not even a single percent growth in Tiger Shroff. Nidhhi cannot dance nor has a good screen presence. There are no expressions on her face. Ronit Roy and Pankaj Tripathi were highly wasted.

Final 'Glitz'

'Munna Michael' is a weakest imitation of the legendary Michael Jackson version of entertainment.
