For the past month, Vishal has taken some serious actions against video piracy by getting a few bus drivers arrested and also taking on the mighty PVR theaters for allowing illegal filming of new films. Following this the Nadigar Sangam executive committee members Ramana and Nandha have got into action in Madurai and Salem and with the help of the police have brought down major piracy rings.

In Madurai in one of the shops a staggering 1lakh dvds of new films as well as computer equipment worth Rupees twenty lakhs have been seized. Similarly in Salem one Ramlal Chand Sait employing twenty men are running a piracy factory churning out lakhs of dvds and supplying them in Salem, Karur and Erode districts. Another hotspot in Salem Kichapalayam too was raided by the police with Ramana and Nandha accompanying them. The direct involvement of the Nadigar Sangam in the piracy issue has caused much panic among the perpetrators across the state.
