Namitha is much in demand for her glam doll image. Malavika who was the heroine of `Maha Nadigan' was replaced by Namitha since Sathyaraj was not happy with Malavika. Now Namitha has been signed for Dhanush film Devathey kandain but not as a heroine. She is doing an item number. Namitha entered Tamil films through Engal Anna and is now acting in Aei.
