Namitha is called affectionately as Marilyn Monroe of south India.

The actress is currently acting in a few movies including Sakthi Chidambaram's Vyapari and a Minnaladikuthu.

A song was recently recorded for Vyapari set to tunes by D Imman describing Namitha's glamorous looks.

Also the director of Minnaladikuthu, Kalimuthu said that the title card for his movie featuring Namitha would carry the title 'Marilyn Monroe of South India' before her name.

Namitha, on her part, is happy being branded as the glamour doll. She says, 'Not all have this fortune. I have no complaints as long as my fans welcome it'.

'After Pachakkuthira, I have been getting lots of offers. But predominantly they are glamour roles. As long as I feel comfortable doing such roles, I need not worry', she says.
