Hours after revealing on social media that he is working on an action-oriented villain's role, senior actor Naresh has told pressmen that he is looking forward to the release of 'Shatamanam Bhavati', 'Ravu Gari Ammayi-Raju Gari Abbayi', 'Guntur Talkies-2' (tri-lingual), among others, in 2017.

"In 'Shatamanam Bhavati', I am playing a key role and will be seen in a new look. It will be a great start for the year as the film will be releasing for Sankranthi. I am happy that my son Nawin was warmly received this year. I am happy that my negative role in 'Ghatana' has been well-appreciated. I have done 100 movies as a hero, I have done good films like 'Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy' and 'A Aa' as a character artiste. I now want to play a villain in an action film. There is some vacuum which I want to fill up by doing villainous roles. This will be a new beginning," Naresh said.

Naresh said that there are all-round talents in Tollywood and so, artistes needn't be imported from other languages every time. "I am not against other language actors doing Telugu movies. I myself have done Tamil. But the talent here should be explored," he said.

Asked about his recent support for Pawan Kalyan after the Anantapur public speech, Naresh said that he will back the Jana Sena chief's efforts as far as the development concerns of Rayalaseema are concerned. As someone associated with the BJP from an arm's length, Naresh sees space for a regional party in Andhra Pradesh.
