Casting couch in the film industry has now become an inevitable practice but do you know it existed in the South also? Speaking in the interview, Nayanthara shared that she was asked for a few “favours” and in return was offered an important role in the film. The actress was praised for her brave choice.

The actress revealed that she was once offered a pivotal role in the film in exchange of favours. Nayanthara reportedly said that she was brave and had directly rejected the offer to act in the film. She noted that she believes only in her acting skills.

Nayanthara is now one of the prominent actresses in India and has acted in many super-hit films. This is not the first time that an actress has opened up about the casting couch in the entertainment industry openly, earlier Anushka Shetty had also stood up against the influences made without abiding to strict rule and considering the actresses acting skills.

Nayanthara revealing about her casting couch experience has come as a huge shock to many of the fans and the filmgoers. On the work front, Nayanthara was last seen in the Tamil film ‘Connect’. After filming for ‘Jawan, Nayanthara is said to start work for her 75th film. She is also awaiting the release of her Tamil film ‘Iraivan’ which is currently in post-production.
