Director of over 50 films has made the right judgment in picking the film of his own for today scenario. 19 years ago he directed `Rani Maharani' starring Malashri in double role with Ambarish and Shashikumar. He has remade his own film with no strong force in the film.

The original film 19 years ago clicked because of the then heart throb Malashri. Malashri did what Hema Malini and Sridevi did in the past. The laxity in this film is selection of artists. Pooja Gandhi does not fit into this kind of hard roles and even in the soft role of Maharani she falls flat without giving required punch.

The story is age old. The exchange of Rani and Maharani from city to village and vice versa is the crux of this film. What Rani the arrogant do in Maharani's Place should have been made powerful but it is given a let go by the director. What Maharani does in Rani's Place is nothing interesting. It is hapless situation. Rani in Maharani Place as expected teaches lesson to the inmates that is has no fire in it.

Pooja Gandhi should not try out this kind of roles. She has to check her capability first. Akshay Shaswath and Akshay son of director Rammurty just come and go. Chidanand in the comedy department is a big bore.

Vinaya Chandra the promising youngster has given two refreshing tunes. Muddhu Muddhu male..and Kanasalu Neene..would get more jobs for this youngster. Cinematography is very ordinary. The grandeur of the film is missing.

Save money and time by not going to this film. But you can buy one audio CD the saving grace of the film.
