Neerja Bhanot who sacrificed her life while saving passengers from terrorists on board the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73 on 5 September 1986 and posthumously became India's youngest recipient of India's highest peacetime military award for bravery, the Ashok Chakra, was a well known face of renowned brands.
The world knows her as the 'Hijack Heroine. However, there something more to Neerja, She was also a model alongside pursuing her career as an air hostess.
While pursuing her career as a model, Neerja also served as a face of several TV commercials and print ads.
The heroic Neerja, who was just a girl-next-door did the extraordinary by unleashing the hero inside of her and saving the lives of 359 lives on board the fateful aircraft.
