Nenusaitham

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • తెలుగు Comments

Renowned director Davala Satyam has readied yet another revolutionary film, `Nenusaitham', with debutant Madala Ravi, son of veteran revolutionary actor Madala Ranga Rao, and Gurlin Chopra in the lead.

I have observed that the line between personal and political issues is getting blurred, says Satyam, talking about the theme of the film. The film's poser is about the tight security provided to every politician, even as the common citizen is left at the mercy of lumpen elements.

I chose Ravi, says Satyam, because he looks more like a common man but he has breathed life into the character of the gunman. A heart-touching entertainer is how he would describe the film, bereft of the routine romance. It is probably in order to revive his old winning habit that the director has joined hands with his favorite actor and producer Madala Ranga Rao, reminding one of the duo's biggest grosser `Erra Mallelu'.

Medico-turned-actor Ravi describes his role as quite `exciting' and promises wholesome entertainment besides a relevant message. We started off as a small film but later it ended up a big one since we didn't want to compromise on quality.
Madala Ranga Rao was the uncrowned king of revolutionary cinema in the 80s and he even received appreciation from celebrated film-maker Shyam Benegal for carrying forward the Left ideology through his films. But he went into oblivion but now makes a strong comeback.

Composer Raju has given us a good mix of duets, revolutionary songs and even a supportive, delightful background score, says Satyam, whose `Yuvatharam Kadilindi' is considered a trend-setter in Telugu cinema.

The director has chosen the title from a lyric penned by revolutionary poet Sri Sri.
