'Neruppu Da' lyricist to make a film on Women's Cricket

Arunraja Kamaraj has been making waves in Kollywood as a lyricist and actor. Especially he shot to immense fame with the super hit 'Neruppu Da' song for Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' and the 'Varlam Varlam Va' theme song for Thalapathy Vijay's 'Bairavaa'. He has also acquired good name as an actor with his performance in the recent comedy based fantasy entertainer 'Maragadha Nanayam'.

Now it has been learn that Arunraja will make his debut as a director with a first of its kind Tamil film on Women's Cricket.

Arunraja reveals that he entered film industry with the ambition of becoming a filmmaker. He has worked as an Assistant Director in STR's dropped film 'Vettai Mannan' and he has also participated in popular short film competitions.

His debut directorial will be the first Tamil film to speak about Women's cricket. Arunraja has said that the casting is under way as he requires a lot of girls who can play cricket. The film will also have an emotional side as it is the story of a father and daughter who aspires to become a cricketer.
