Actress Smitha has changed her name to Nivedhitha. A software professional in the beginning turned actress from a side role in 'Sixer' Kannada film of director Shashank got noticed for her bold performance in 'Akasha Gange' and her scale increased with lip lock scene with Dhuniya Vijay in 'Avva' directed by Kavitha Lankesh.

Making rounds in South Indian languages Smitha makes it a point at the beginning that she is Nivedhitha. The change of name has also brought some change in the fortunes but I am very choosy in the offers. Unless the role has a scope and stay in the mind of audience I do not select it. Into Yoga, Aerobics to keep her fit is very much interested in keeping the environment always clean.

On her bold and dashing scenes in the previous films Nivedhitha says in future if it is necessary for the role and it demands such scenes she will not hesitate.

Nivedhitha has acted in 'Parie' as a Lambani community girl in the direction of Sudhir Atthavar and another long pending film is 'Gandhi Smiles'. Gandhi Smiles of Raghavendra Kamath is not smiling since last five Gandhi Jayanthis.
