Outside food now allowed in theatres!

Everytime we go to the movies, we end paying more at the snack counter more than the tickets, don’t we? Many a times the isssue has been brought up but no action has been taken to bring down the costs of the same.

But things are looking good for poeple in Andhra Pradesh. Yes, the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum(DCDRF) has ordered multiplexes in the state to let moviegoers bring their own food which may also include packaged food and water as well. In addition to this, the forum has also levied a fine of Rs.5 lakhs on three beverage companies for placing their costs much higher than MRP.

Well, that seems to be a good step taken. Will our movie theatres and multiplexes also follow suit?
