The prominent Kinnera exponent Darsanam Mogulaiah has acquired instant fame among the youths, thanks to the title track from 'Bheemla Nayak'. The news is that the Kinnera artist has received a reward of Rs 2 lakh from Jana Sena chief and Bheemla Nayak's lead actor, Pawan Kalyan.
In its statement on Saturday, the Jana Sena Party said that the reward has been issued through the Pawan Kalyan Learning Centre for Human Values. "It's important for folk songs to be popularized among the youths. The reward is in appreciation of Mogulaiah's efforts to bring the Kinnera tradition to the fore in a world where such folk traditions are disappearing fast," the party said in the statement.
Mogulaiah is renowned in the Amrabad Forest Reserve area in Telangana. His prologue to the title track of 'Bheemla Nayak' has become widely popular.
Directed by Saagar K Chandra, the film is written by Trivikram Srinivas. Rana Daggubati has a key role in it.
