Payal in judicial custody over anti-Nehru comments

Model-turned-actress Payal Rohatgi has been arrested by Rajasthan Police over a video she made on India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. On Monday, she has been sent to eight-day judicial custody by a local court in Bundi.

Payal's arrest has been condemned as undemocratic and intolerant by sections of commentators. Soon after her arrest on Sunday, she tweeted out, I am arrested by Rajasthan police for making a video on #MotilalNehru which I made from taking information from Google. Freedom of Speech is a joke.

Rajasthan is a Congress-ruled State.
