Jayam Ravi has lost a lot of weight and is looking powerfully built to play the role of a forest officer for this one. Directed by S. P. Jananathan starring Jayam Ravi and Austrian actor Roland Kickinger ‘Peranmai’ is said to be an action flick.

Debutants Vasundra, Saranya, Varsha, Tanusika and Liyasree are the five heroines of ‘Peranmai’. These five girls are supposed to help Jayam Ravi and fight against the terrorists who enter the country.

The latest gossip from the rumor mongers is that the plot of ‘Peranmai’ is borrowed from a Russian novel ‘Lenin Grade Ninaivugal’ that was released in 1970s. According to sources the novel is a story of a military doctor, who escapes with 5 nurses during the First World War and saves his country from a threat.

When we compare and see the facts about 5 heroines of ‘Peranmai’ and hero fighting terrorists with their help, things seem to justify the rumours. ‘Peranmai’ also has an elephant which is said to play a prominent part in the film. Anyways for now let’s keep all these assumptions aside and wait until we see the film.

'Peranmai' is produced by Ayngaran International and has been shot in various locations including Kuttralam, Dindugal and certain parts of Kerala.
