Actor Surya is on a high these days. With successive hits -- Kaakha Kaakha and Pithamagan under his belt, the actor is keenly awaiting the release of his next movie Peralagan. The movie is being produced by AVM Productions.
Surya is working for a film under the AVM banner for the first time.
AVM, which is entering its 59th year in existence, has so far produced 165 movies and a host of television serials.
The saying - 'Beauty is not skin deep and it is in the eyes of the beholder' forms the crux of the story, in which Surya plays a dual role, a handsome youth and a rustic with a hunchback. Interestingly, Jyothika too features in a dual role.
According to Saravanan, Surya, who captured the imagination of audiences with the cop's role in 'Kaakha Kaakha' is doing a commendable job. Surya's role as a villager would be the highlight of the movie.
The music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and screenplay and direction by Sasi Shankar. Surya has also rendered his voice for a song. 'Peralagan' will be released on 5 May.
