It's known that Aishwarya Rai is all set to shoot for 'Ponniyin Selvan', the Mani Ratnam magnum opus. Kollywood star Sarathkumar is also playing an important part in it. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, the daughter of Sarathkumar, was there to catch up with Aishwarya Rai and her husband Abhishek Bachchan on Sunday.

Taking to Instagram, the 'Naandhi' actress posted a few pics from the friendly meet. She wrote, “Met three of the warmest and most humble people last night.. none other than the gorgeous @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb the handsome hunk @bachchan and their sweetest daughter #aaradhyabachchan."

The 'Krack' actress further wrote, "Despite the families n lineage that they hail from, their humility and warmth were so amazing, I was just overwhelmed with their love.!!! It was so sweet of you to meet us and spend time with us.. May God shower all his blessings on your family."

Coming to 'Ponniyin Selvan', the period fantasy drama whose first edition will hit the screens in 2022, the film was shot in Puducherry earlier this month. Its music is by AR Rahman.
