Police complaint against Telugu-Odia bilingual

Telugu-Odia bilingual movie 'PATNAGARH 23 Feb 2018', directed by National award-winning and internationally-acclaimed director Rajesh Touchriver, is inspired by true incidents related to the infamous Patnagarh Bomb Blast case. A newly-wed man and his grandma were killed in Orissa's Bolangir in the tragedy.

The news is that the film has bumped into a controversy because the father of the man who died in the aforementioned incident has complained to the police that the film hurts his family at a time when they are still unable to outgrow the demise of the two family members.

Made with a budget of over Rs. 5 crores, this is the most expensive Odia movie ever.

The cast of the movie includes Bollywood actor Atul Kulkarni (his debut in Odia), Yashpal Sharma, Odia actor Manoj Mishra, Telugu actor Tanikella Bharani. Shiju Odia serial star Chinmay Mishra, Malayalam actor Sanju Sivaram, Odia Actress Pushpa Panda and debutante Ravathy Sampath are part of the cast.

George Joseph of '102 Not Out' fame is doing the music direction and popular music director RP Pattnaik, an Odia native, is composing a Sambalpuri folk song for the film.
