Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' just like the first part released last years has received widespread apprectiation from critics and fans alike. The epic film based on Kalki's novel of the same name is said to have crossed the magical 250 crore rupees mark at the worldwide box office.

Isaipuyal A.R. Rahman has scored the music for 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' and fans cant stop raving about his songs and bgm. Meanwhile young music composer Sam C.S. had posted a request on Twitter tagging Rahman "Sir “extraordinary music” Enjoyed & loved the score Plz release the OST soon sir."

ARR has promptly replied that the original sound track of 'PS-2' will be released on the 100th day of the film. The news has delighted the Oscar Nayagan fans who are expressing the same on the timeline.

'Ponniyin Selvan 2' has Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Parthiban and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the principal roles.
