Actress Pooja is currently acting in a Sinhalese film.
This glam doll of Kollywood who acted in movies including JJ, Attahasam and the recent Githan says "I am acting in a Sinhalese movie titled Anjalika.
"The director of the movie Janmaperaera had seen my performance in Attahasam and wanted me to do the film. Since I liked the story, I said yes".
On her role in Anjalika, Pooja says "it is a movie about romance between a poor mechanic's son and a rich girl. Their love faces several protests.
I have enough scope to perform in the movie. The entire movie, but for a couple of song sequences, has been completed".
Though she doesn't know Sinhalese, she managed with the help of the local friends, says Pooja who is pinning all her hopes in Kollywood on the forthcoming Tamil movie Thambi opposite Madhavan in which she plays a classical dancer.
