The dream of highly acclaimed actor the national award winner Prakash Raj to direct a Kannada movie ‘Naanu Nanna Kanasu’ went on the floors on chilly Saturday evening (21st November) in Bangalore at Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association club in Cubbon Park. Prakash Raj’s mother Smt.Suvarana and B Suresh the joint producer of the film mother Dr Vijaya flagged off the film. The maiden shot was captured on Prakash Raj delivering non stop dialogues on his girl child by cameraman Ananth Urs.

It was a very colorful launch and the precise event everyone felt for the brainy work. Prakash Raj invited the top personalities like dream merchant of Kannada cinema V Ravichandran, Golden star Ganesh, gentleman hero Ramesh Aravind, directors Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar, Yogaraj Bhat, two eminent journalists Ravi Belegere of ‘Hai Bangalore’ tabloid and Vishveshwara Bhat Editor of Vijaya Karnataka to read out the letter they have written to their daughters. This in fact connected to the subject of Prakash Raj. The original version of this film ‘Naanu Nanna Kanasu’ was made in Tamil as ‘Abhayum Nanum’ and in Telugu it is made as ‘Akashavantham’.

There was a musical treat from noted music director Hamsalekha. He made orchestra arrangements for five songs on children picked from yesteryear Kannada films. The songs Sevanthige Chandinantha Mudhu Koli…. China Ninna Mudhdhaduve….Hadondha Haduve Nee Keluva Maguve….Muddina Giliye Baaro….were sung by Latha Hamsalekha, Harsha, Ravishekar and Smt.Usha after the lighting the lamp made by charming actress Ramya who is in the daughter role to Prakash Raj on screen. Hamsalekha has scored music for five songs in ‘Naanu Nanna Kanasu’.

Addressing the mammoth attendance at the launch of ‘Naanu Nanna Kanasu’ Prakash Raj said it is like a flower with fragrance and it is about the birth and life of a daughter and father. As the child takes birth the father also takes birth he pointed on his subject of the film. I have grown up in many languages and I see every event with great pride and honor in my life. I have passed the trials and tribulations and I have come here to go again he mentioned on his entry to new field of direction from Kannada cinema.

After four days shooting in Mudigere the unit of ‘Naanu Nanna Kanasu’ is leaving to Shanivarashanthe near Somwarpet of the hilly Coorg district then reach the Kelaguru coffee estate in Chickmagalur to shoot remaining portions. As of now everything is smooth and I have given the bound script for every actor says Prakash Raj.

Ramesh Aravind plays a special role in this film. Nataranga Rajesh, Achyuth Kumar, Veena Sunder and others are in the cast of ‘Naanu Nanna Kanasu’.
