Prasanth Varma explains his comment to Maheshs fans

The other day, director Prasanth Varma inadvertently offended sections of Mahesh Babu's fans by making an innocuous comment on Twitter. Plugging a still of Dr. Rajasekhar from his movie 'Kalki', the filmmaker, making a light-veined comment, said that the protagonist carrying the plough is a must in a commercial film. Mahesh's fans felt that Prasanth must have meant to laugh at the plough-carrying Bharat in 'Bharat Ane Nenu' and Rishi in 'Maharshi'. They kept trolling him non-stop.

To put an end to the controversy, Prasanth shared a clip from his interview with IndiaGlitz. When our host asked him who his favourite actor is, pat came the reply that it is Mahesh Babu. "Dear @urstrulyMahesh garu fans, my previous tweet about commercial cinema and plough poster was purely a self troll and if I don't like commercial cinema why would I make one? And please watch this.. Peace," the director wrote.

All is well that ends well.
