Call it coincidence, 18 Vayasu Puyalae features newcomer Ajay Pradeep making his debut as hero. Preethi Verma plays the heroine of the movie.

According to Preethiverma, “The movie's storyline is quite typical to incidents that occurred in my life”.

“I am still to get over my surprise at the coincidence”, says the film's director Vijay M. Yesteryear heroine Nalini plays Preethiverma's cruel aunt in the film.
