The Tamil Film Producers Council has suspended actor Vishal's membership as a producer through a resolution passed by their Executive Council.

Vishal has addressed the media within hours after the news of his suspension came to light.

Now in an exclusive Interview to IndiaGlitz, Radhakrishnan, Secretary of the Producers Council spoke in detail on how this decision to suspend Vishal was taken and what next.

"Vishal in his explanation letter sent on September 8 2016 had conveyed that he will continue speaking like this (in a way objectionable for the Producers Council). There are certain rules and bylaws for every organisation. All are equal in Producers Council. But he has not followed it and speaks arbitrarily. He thinks he can do the same thing he did in Nadigar Sangam. Our aim is to be inclusive and promote harmony among members. We have suspended him based on the rules of the Sangam. He is the General secretary of the Nadigar Sangam. Will he allow its members to speak against their rules and bylaws? They want their (Nadigar) Sangam to be conducted according to the rules. Wont the Producers Council expect the same?

The resolution to suspend Vishal was passed with the consent of all executive members of the council. It was an unanimous decision.

If his suspension has to be revoked, he has to take the step. As he was suspended by the resolution of the Executive members it can be revoked only by convening the Executive council meeting again and pass a resolution to that effect.

This move does not have any connection with the Nadigar Sangam resolving to take police action against former President Sarathkumar and General Secretary Radharavi on a land grab allegation. This was done only in the recent Executive Council meeting of Nadigar Sangam but we have sent our first notice to Vishal on September 2 itself. "
