Dhanush, a stalwart of Tamil cinema, is poised for an eventful year ahead with a slew of film projects in his kitty. Among these ventures, "Raayan" holds special significance as it marks his monumental 50th film as an actor and his second directorial endeavor. With eager anticipation surrounding the film, the makers recently treated fans to the unveiling of its first song, titled "Adangaadha Asuran".

Taking to his social media platform, Dhanush shared an arresting poster, featuring him with a shaven head and bare body, gazing intently towards the ground amidst splashes of water. Alongside the link to the song, Dhanush expressed his excitement, stating, "D50 Raayan first single Adangaadha Asuran. From the day @arrahman sir made this song, I have waited a year to share this with you all. FINALLY Here it is. In theatres June 13th onwards @sunpictures."

The music for "Raayan" is helmed by none other than the maestro himself, AR Rahman, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film's soundtrack. The lyrical video of "Adangaadha Asuran" offers a glimpse of vibrant dance sequences choreographed by the renowned Prabhu Deva, featuring Dhanush grooving alongside a plethora of dancers.

In a strategic move to cater to a wider audience, the single from "Raayan" has been launched in Telugu and Hindi languages, paving the way for its grand pan-Indian release on June 13th.

To mark the occasion of Tamil New Year, Dhanush unveiled a new poster of "Raayan", showcasing himself alongside co-stars Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, and the debutante female lead, Dushara Vijayan. This poster offers a sneak peek into Dushara Vijayan's character, heightening the anticipation surrounding the film.

"Raayan" is billed as a gritty gangster drama set against the backdrop of north Chennai, with Dhanush, Kalidas Jayaram, and Sundeep Kishan essaying the roles of brothers. The ensemble cast includes the likes of SJ Suryah, Nithya Menen, Aparna Balamurali, Selvaraghavan, and Saravanan in pivotal roles. The film, slated for release in June this year, promises to captivate audiences with its intense narrative and riveting performances.

Previously, in February, the makers unveiled an intriguing poster offering a glimpse into the gripping storyline of "Raayan", with Dhanush exuding intensity in his character portrayal. Shot against the backdrop of a bustling kitchen, the poster hinted at the film's thematic exploration of vengeance and redemption.

Having wrapped up principal photography in December last year, "Raayan" is currently undergoing post-production work, gearing up for its eagerly awaited theatrical release. Dhanush commenced filming for this ambitious project in July last year, and with each update, the excitement among fans continues to soar.
