AR Rahman has donated Rs. 1 Cr for Kerala. The Mozart of Madras has been on a concert tour to the US and decided to donate part of the proceeds from the concert for the rebuilding of Kerala. "From my artistes and me touring the USA... To our brothers and sisters of Kerala! May this small offering help in providing you some relief!" the legendary music director said.

Meanwhile, Rahman will be performing live his album for Mani Ratnam's multi starrer 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' ('Nawab' in Telugu) on September 5. It will be telecast LIVE on the Facebook page of Lyca Productions. Rahman is expected to sing only Tamil songs of the film.

The film releasing on September 28. It stars Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay, Arvind Swamy, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Jyothika and Dayana Erappa.
