Superstar Rajinikanth`s upcoming film to be directed by Ranjith is expected go on floors from the mid of September. The title of this film is yet to be fixed.

Earlier there were speculations that the film may be titled as Kaali`. However, now this title option has been given up. Industry sources reveal that Ranjith was keen to have Kaali` as the title, but the Superstar did not like it as the term is considered unlucky in the film industry.

Last week it was being said that the team is contemplating the title Kannabhiran` however director Ameer has registered that tile for his film and his permission has to be sought to get that title.

Now another title suggestion seems to have cropped up. Sources close to the team say that Kabali` will be the title of this film as the character name of Rajini will be Kabaleeswaran.

So is it Kannabhiran` or Kabali` or something else is the title of this most awaited project? We will have to wait for official confirmation.

The film is being produced by Kalaipuli.S.Thanu. Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Prakash Raj., Dinesh and Kalaiyarasan will be sharing screen space with Rajinikanth in this film. Ranjith's regular composer Santosh Narayanan will be taking care of music for this film.
