The Madras High Court has sent a notice to Superstar Rajinikanth on a civil suit filed by a financier alleging that the senior actor has failed to take any action against his son-in-law actor Dhanush's father Kasthooriraja who had borrowed money from the petitioner (financier) in July 2012 and yet to return in.

The financier S.Mukanchand Bothra had submitted a petition before the court that he paid Rs.65 lakhs in two instalments to Kasthooriraja. The cheques issued by Kasthooriraja in return of the loan have bounced. A case for dishonour of cheque is pending against the producer-director in a city magistrate court. .

In his petition in the High Court, Bothra has dragged Rajini's name stating that the superstar knew that Kasthooriraja used Rajini's name to get funds from him but Rajini does not do anything to ensure the loan received by using his name is repaid properly.

Bothra has pleaded the court to direct Rajini to act against Kasthooriraja and make hims settle his dues.
