Pawan Kalyan has welcomed Superstar Rajinikanth's decision to establish a political party in January next year. The Jana Sena chief was speaking to the media hours after the Tamil cine legend announced his political entry.

"It has been a long-anticipated entry. Even though Rajinikanth garu hasn't been in direct politics, he has been in politics indirectly. In the 1990s, he gave a call to defeat the AIADMK," the actor-politician said.

Pawan wished Rajini all the best, saying that people with good intentions have to be welcomed.

The '2.0' actor's new party will be contesting in the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections next year. This December 31, Rajini will address his party functionaries and divulge more details.
