After a long gap, Kuthu fame Ramya is back in Tamil. She is cast opposite Shaam for a movie titled Kadhalal.
Granddaughter of former Karnataka Chief Minister S M Krishna, Ramya is a household name in Karnataka. She is reigning supreme in Kannada film industry.
She tried her luck in vain in Tamil with Kuthu and Giri. Not managing to find any more offers, she chose to concentrate on her career in Kannada itself.
Now an offer to act in a Tamil movie has knocked at her doors. Without hesitating, the actress has accepted to play the lead role and has even reduced her weight, it is said.
