Ramya Nambeesan may not be a top heroine in k-town but with a few impressive performances in films like Kullanari Koottam and Pizza the Kerala born actress has grabbed the attention of fans as well as critics of Tamil films.

Currently Ramya is acing in a film opposite Vaibhav in the film titled Damaal Dumeel directed by debutante director Sree, who is a former assistant of Shankar. Music for the film has been scored by S.S.Thaman and Ramya has crooned a number in this film. Though she has sung a song in Pandiyanadu it was for actress Lakshmi Menon and it is for the first time Ramya lends her voice to herself in a Tamil song.
