The sandalwood queen actress Ramya (Divya Spandana) now sitting MP has announced quitting of films for politics. Quit on high is my policy and that ‘High film is Aryan’ disclosed Ramya sitting next to century star Shivarajakumar at Mysore Lamps on Sunday afternoon.

Cheerful as ever with lot of ideas flowing in her mind Ramya spoke to media persons after formal address.

·Aryan is a high quality film and I would consider this is the time to announce quitting films.
·I did not expect anything but it happened in my life. Cinema, Politics happened in my life. After some years I may come again to cinema as sister to Shivarajakumar.
·As a heroine I am in to politics today. I cannot allot 30 to 50 day’s time for my films. I need to be with my people. I stay at Sadat Ali Khan house on rent with my mother in Mandya.
·I play athlete in this film ‘Aryan’. I was junior champion when I was in school days.
·Rehearsal was not necessary for this film for track race.
·I was in to 100 and 200 meters race. In this film with two track race it is 400 meters run to win gold medal for the country with Shivarajakumar as coach.
·From 5th of April 2014 I will be extremely busy in giving speeches and I have to win the Lok Sabha again from Mandya.
·As of now politics keeping me busy and before April 5th I would complete dubbing as the guidelines have to be strictly followed she said.
·Among the committed films four days work for ‘Dil Ka Raja’ will be after May Lok Sabha Elections. ‘Neer Dosai’ is in court, I should not speak anything. For Kodi Ramakrishna film I have finished everything. I have nothing on hand and only politics.
·I would not involve in appeasing voters with various other things. My strategy is to meet people, know the problems and give quick solution.
·In Eight taluks there are 1975 books and I have given practical approach meeting the people and solving their problems as far as possible.
·On the sugar cane growers woes I have made a research and presented it in parliament. Ethanol as alternative to fuel use from Sugar Cane is happening in other countries but as second largest sugar cane growers, it is not happening in our country. A few other related issues and saving the sugar cane farmers from corpus fund was appreciated in Parliament.
·As for as procuring MP fund for my nine months tenure I was successful in getting Rs.2.5 crores out of Rs.5 crores.
·Unless I meet people, I will not know the problems. I got a call from my office in Mandya yesterday - an old man had come to thank me for the approval of his pension. There are small things that we have to give attention and people are satisfied.
·For people of Mandya my three agenda is Education, Health and build police chowkies.
·MARRIAGE – it happens and like my entry to films and politics was not decided but it happened, marriage is also like that. My friend Raphel has gone to Portugal.
·Had I married and blessed with children I would not have allotted so much of attention to my people. So as of now, I would concentrate on work and my constituency people.
·My policy in this political life is not to answer any critics or opponents. Do my work is my principle. My Dad Gundappa was so close to all politicians and I was only seeing such big personalities. On his wish I came to politics. I miss him absolutely today.
