While the fans were going gaga over this, the first look of 'The Girlfriend' made its debut. This is a female-centric film starring Rashmika and directed by Rahul Ravindran.

Rashmika is featured as a homely college student in the poster of 'The Girlfriend'. It seems that her role in the film is very close to her heart as she captioned, "I can’t wait to start showing the world the lil snippets of the girlfriend (sic)."
