The allegations put forth by music composer Ramesh Narayanan that Prithviraj and R.S.Vimal insulted him and that it was upon Prithviraj's insistence that R S Vimal decided to chuck away some of his songs, were given a clarification by the movie's director R S Vimal. Vimal says that Ramesh Narayanan has put forth all these allegations without even thinking that it was 'Ennu Ninte Moideen' that fetched him the award. He said that it is a director who decides which songs to put in and its visualization.

However, without even the director or producers knowing, Ramesh composed around ten songs for the movie and the makers came to know about it only when it was accounted for. Also, Ramesh had made great singers like Yesudas sing songs without the producer''s knowledge. He added that when he asked to listen to the songs, Ramesh replied that he has not even let Kamal hear it, let alone Vimal. Also, the thing she say about Prithviraj are lies. Vimal clarified that it was Prithviarj who actually was very supportive about the songs and making Jayachandran sing it. Also, he said that "sharadhambharam.." song for which Ramesh won the award was initially set like a death song. It was upon Vimal's insistence that its tune was changed. The change was done in a derogatory manner. But Vimal okayed it and it was used in the movie.
