Saif Ali Khan shares a heartfelt message for mother Sharmila Tagore

Back in the day, it was believed that an actress cannot continue her career in Bollywood after getting married and having children. However, there have been women who challenged these stereotypes and set examples for next generation of actors. Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore is one such woman and recently her son Saif Ali Khan shared how brilliantly she managed to be a working woman and a responsible mother.

Sharmila made an appearance on the reality show 'Indian Idol' during which Saif shared a video message for her in which he stated, "Even though you were working so much, we never felt like you were missing in the house. You always had a balance between your work and home life. You have always been an inspiration to us, and for all the women out there, especially working women."

Saif further added, "You have broken all stereotypes and you continued to keep working even after you had children. That’s when you gave some of the biggest hits of your career like Aradhana, Amar Prem, Chupke Chupke and so many more. You’ve taught us to respect working women which is why I am sitting at home taking care of Taimur while Kareena shoots in London.”

Saif's sister Saba Pataudi shared this clip on her Instagram account and wrote, “Thank you again #indianidol13 for making her a part of this show! I truly think it’s one of the BEST episodes yet!”
