If reports are to be believed than Bollywood sensational superstar Salman Khan is all set to replicate the marvelous act of a dwarf that legendary actor Kamal Hassan achieved 25 years ago in the Tamil super hit film ‘Apoorva Sagodharargal’ (1989) which was later dubbed and released in Telugu as ‘Vichithra Sodarulu’ and into Hindi as ‘Appu Raja’ and both did astounding business.

According reports Salman Khan has long been aspiring to work with director Anand L Rai, who has to his credits hit movies like ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ and ‘Raanjhanaa’. In an interview Anand L Rai has confessed that he has a love story with a difference set in a rural backdrop however if things go as per plans it will be a mega project.

It will be interesting to see Salman Khan who is known for his ‘Dabangg’ action style in a role of a dwarf.

Unlike Singeetham Srinivasa Rao who directed ‘Apoorva Sagodharargal’ using his imaginations at the little resources available to him, director Anand L Rai will be using latest commuter technology to give special effects. According to sources VFX expert George Murphy who worked on Matrix Reloaded, Jurassic Park and Forest Gump, has been roped in for the movie.

Earlier Anupam Kher played the lovable dwarf 'Chachu' in ‘Jaan-E-Man’directed by Shirish Kunder and Hrithik Roshan in one scene of ‘Dhoom 2’. However the most interesting movie has been Malayalam hit ‘Atbhutha Dweep’that depicted a real life South Indian actor Ajay Kumar, who is just 2ft 5in tall doing heroic feat like amazing stunts, horse riding and dancing around bush with his heroine.
