Samantha misses out on the genuine biggie

The genuine blockbuster in recent times is the Jayam Ravi-Arvind Swamy-Nayanthara starrer Thani Oruvan` directed by Mohan Raja. Producers from the other industries across India have been clambering over one another for the remake rights.

The Telugu version of Thani Oruvan` to be directed by Surender Reddy has Ram Charan Teja in the lead role and the makers approached Samantha to reprise Nayanthara`s role. Initially Sam had agreed to do the prestigious film but the busy shooting schedules of her films like Suriya`s 24`, Nithin`s A…Aa…`, Mahesh Babu`s Brahmotsavam` and the soon to begin Vada Chennai` directed by Vetrimaaran with Dhanush as hero have forced Samantha to opt out of the project.
