Sameera Reddy is upbeat at the moment. The reason, she is getting a variety of roles much different from the glamorous image she has so far portrayed. Starting her innings in Bollywood with 'Maine Dil Tujko Diya', she has acted in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil films. The audience took their time to bond with this actress.

Sameera got her much needed break in her first Tamil film 'Vaaranam Ayiram', where she played Suriya's love interest. Though her character is killed in the film, Sameera created a lasting impression in the minds of the audience. She played the role of a confident, modern young girl. The film was directed by Gautham Menon.

If reports doing the rounds are true then Sameera has got herself a plump role in Nagesh Kukunoor's upcoming film. Titled 'Yeh Hausla' Sameera will be portraying the role of a country girl with the back drop of the movie set in Rajasthan. It seems the actress was shooting at a stretch for 50 days from Jodhpur for this film.

The grapevine has it that Sam is being compared to Smitha Patel! If this low-budget film 'Yeh Hausla' clicks then it will open doors to wider horizons for this lanky lass in the Indian film industry.
