One of the most bankable character actors of our times, Samuthirakani dons the lead role from time to time, always making a sold impact in such films like Saattai` and Appa`.

In the upcoming Aann Devathai` directed by Thamiraa, Samuthirakani is playing a hard working auto driver much like the one played by Superstar Rajinikanth in his biggest blockbuster Baasha`. Ramya Pandian of Joker` fame is the heroine while Kavin, Kasthuri, Ilavarasu, Poo Ramu, Srinika, Pragathish, Arandangi Nisha and Mayilswamy are in the cast.
