Actor Santhanam started his career as a comedian on television shows like Lolly Sabha and Sagala Vs Ragala before making his entry in films with movies like the Simbu starrer Manmadhan. Later after establishing himself as a successful comedian in Tamil cinema he turned hero.

Now, an unseen video Santhanam working as a VJ in a local channel has turned viral on social media. The video has a young Santhanam talking to a telephone caller who wants to see Santhanam becoming a hero and Santhanam jokes and laughs about the caller's wish of him as a hero.

Years later, now Santhanam is a hero who has acted in successful movies like Dhilluku Dhuddu, A1 etc. Santhanam will be seen next in Dikkiloona directed by debutant Karthik Yogi where he'll be playing triple roles for the first time, as hero, villain and comedian.
