Santhanam is currently in a zone of exploring his versatility by exploring different genres. While he's doing that, he is also balancing his pipeline with the genres which fall under his strong zone. After completing his upcoming entertainers 'Kick' and 'Vadakupatti Ramasamy', he has now announced a new film.

Santhanam has teamed up with debutant Prem Anand this time, who's the former associate of Santa's regular director Ram Bala. It is going to be a horror comedy again, the fan-favourite genre in which the actor has tasted success already. The team announced the title as 'DD Returns' with a promo teaser and launched the first look poster today.

The 1.5-minute-long video shows Santhanam and his gang entering a haunted building which is structured like a maze. We also get a glimpse of Santa making fun of jumpscares like he usually does. DD Returns also stars Surbhi, Redin Kingsley, Lollu Sabha Maran, Motta Rajendran, Munishkanth, Dheena, Bipin, Thanga Durai, Deepa, Manasi and others.

RK Entertainment is bankrolling this movie. The technical team includes ofRo as the music director, Dipak Kumar Padhy as the cinematographer, NB Srikanth as the editor, AR Mohan as the art director, Hari Dinesh as the stunt master and Sandy as the choreographer. DD Returns is expected to hit the screens later this year.
