Sarath Kumar, who quit his post as the president of the South India Film Artistes Association, has been asked to continue as the honcho of the association for the next two years.

It may be recalled that Sarath had quit as the president of SIFAA on Saturday stating that he had to concentrate more on his newly-floated political party.

However an emergency meeting of the Nadigar Sangam convened on Sunday urged the actor to continue as the president for the next couple of years.

The members unanimously urged Sarath to reconsider his decision and work continuously for the welfare of the association. Among those who attended the meeting on Sunday include Radharavi, Vijayakumar, Sri Priya, K N Kalai and host of members of the sangam.
