Government orders removal of 'Sarkar' posters and banners

Thalapathy Vijay's 'Sarkar' releasing on the festive Diwali day November 6th is tracking for a staggering rupees 50 Crores opening day collection worldwide. Celebrations have already started in theaters screening the much awaited film as posters and banners have been put and fans too are decorating the buildings and the entrance arches.

Panneerselvam the President of the Theater Owners Association has sent a circular to all the cinemas screening 'Sarkar' to remove any poster or banners that have Vijay smoking in accordance with the government order. It may be recalled that when the first look poster of Vijay with a cigarette dangling on his lips was removed after the TN Health Department sent notices to the hero, director A.R. Murugadoss and Sun Pictures.
