After a few days of high drama the controversy surrounding 'Sarkar' story issues has come to an end after director A.R. Murugadoss agreeing to acknowledge Varun Rajendran's similar thought on the subject and the latter dedicating his story 'Sengol' to Vijay fans, Vijay family and S.A. Chandrasekhar family.

Shantanu Bhagyaraj was the target of angry Vijay fans as his father K. Bhagyaraj in his capacity as the Writers Union President had supported Varun Rajendran.
