Thalapathy Vijay's 'Sarkar' surpassed half a million US dollars in just two days which amounts to almost 3 Crores 65 lakhs which is splendid by any standards. The film released there, by Narmadha Travels and Kollywood Movies USA opened a weekday and that too a Tuesday and has done this massive business.

The weekend is when even more crowds will throng the theaters playing 'Sarkar' and many eyewitnesses in the US vouch that the craze for Thalapathy Vijay and the way the fans celebrate the mass hero is similar to that of Tamil Nadu. The film directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures has Vijay and Keerthy Suresh as the lead pair while Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu and Radha Ravi play other pivotal roles. The A.R. Rahman music score is another drawing force for the US fans of Tamil cinema.
